Today We Are An Obama Nation!

D.C experiences an explosion in the travel spectrum over the last week or so as America celebrates the inauguration of Barak Obama. Millions have poured into D.C. to party and commemorate the 44th President elect. They have literally come by planes, trains and automobiles to witness history, as the first black President will be enthroned on this chilly Tuesday morning.

Dignitaries, Celebrities, businessmen and women along with the everyday “Joe the plumber” kind of folks have poured into the Capital in anticipation of a new era in American Politics. Most have traveled to D.C. to be inspired and have their fears quelled about our present state of the economy.

The travel industry is already benefiting from the mass invasion of hotels and motels in the metro area. Restaurants, shops, cabs, bars and everything else that has an “Open For Business” sign is reaping the rewards of Obama’s historic day.

Inbound flights have been at capacity coming into Washington. Busses and Rail cars have provided a means for others to take part in history on this 20th day of December 2009. Americans will turn out in record numbers today in support of our new administration.
Whether a Democrat or a Republican we all can be proud of our freedom to travel here and abroad!

Get Great Airfare Deals NOW!

If your plans include air travel in 2009 this is the time to shop. Three factors have converged to cause air travel to become an incredible bargain at this time.

· Turmoil in the economy means that fewer people are flying which is causing pressure on the airlines to lower prices. It is the law of supply and demand.

· Lower fuel costs have allowed the airlines to reduce their fares and pass the savings on to the air traveler.

· And a relatively strong dollar has caused overseas travel (especially to England and Europe) to become very affordable.

Discount airfare deals abound. AirTran Airways is selling one way tickets starting at $39. Virgin America is offering one way flights between $59 and $139. Southwest, United and American Airlines are also offering cheap airfares.

Travel experts are saying now is the time to purchase travel. They also predict a tumultuous 2009. Airfare prices are expected to fluctuate due to economic instability and rising fuel costs.
